On 23 July, a delegation led by Li Jianhui, Chairman of Shantou China Merchants Port Group, visited the Federation of Guangdong Associations in Indonesia and held talks with association leaders including Chairman Chen Zhiming and Honorary Chairman Zhang Jinquan.
Both sides exchanged views on port logistics, cross-border trade and industrial investment to explore new prospects for China-Indonesia economic and trade cooperation. Li Jianhui stated that Shantou Port serves as a vital gateway linking Eastern Guangdong with Southeast Asia and the Belt and Road Initiative with top-tier comprehensive service capabilities in the region. He hoped to forge closer links with Indonesian business circles and overseas Chinese associations to advance practical cooperation in shipping, supply chains as well as import and export businesses.
A promotional video of Shantou Port was presented at the forum. Enterprises from both parties discussed port connectivity, cross-border logistics and industrial chain collaboration and reached cooperation consensus. Souvenirs were exchanged, and all participants took a group photo after the meeting.
